Maggie Penton

Maggie has always experimented with drawing and painting and enjoys exploring the potential of different media. She finds the serendipity of watercolour as well as the subtleties of colour gives rise to exciting results that she can build on in her studio and more recently in printmaking.
 
Inspired by the natural world and using collected and recycled materials, Maggie creates collagraph plates which she then combines with other techniques such as drypoint or silkscreen printing to create her unique prints usually as monoprints. She works from her home studio and is a member of the Oaks Park Printmakers working from the studio in the beautiful setting of
Oaks Park, Carshalton.
 
Maggie has exhibited  regularly  with a group of fellow artists ("In The Frame") at Denbies Vineyard in Surrey.  She has also exhibited independently at the Landmark Art Centre and at local exhibitions, art fairs and open studio events as part of CAOS (Carshalton Artists).
